On today’s episode of the Financial Independence Podcast, I welcome back Chad Carson from CoachCarson.com!
Chad just released a new book called The Small and Mighty Real Estate Investor, and I wanted to get him back on the show to talk about it.
I’m not a real-estate investor though. So rather than interview him myself, my real-estate-investor friend, Jillian Johnsrud, did the interview for me!
You may know Jillian from Montana Money Adventures, or her new podcast – Retire Often.
She did a fantastic job, so I hope you enjoy their conversation as much as I did!

Jillian mentions renting at below market rates. I’m curious to hear more about how she sets her rents and why she chooses to forgo the additional income.
I really enjoyed this podcast – there was so much value in considering strategy for real estate and finances but also balancing that with lifestyle. It was great to hear how Jillian and Chad approach real estate investing and the strategies they use to make it work for them.
Also, Jillian is a really good communicator, like really good, perfect for interviews, coaching, teaching.
Great convo! I like the idea of renting below market to reduce turnover rates. If you can afford it.
Any word on the transcript? I prefer to read the podcasts. Thanks
